Let's kick of the workshop with the basics. We'll go over what exactly is an Instagram Reel and why it's different than the other forms of content media out there. If you are starting at square one and wonder, "Isn't a Reel the same thing as a story?" We will clarify that here.

Get our your phone, and go through every button, feature, and known glitch. We'll walk you through how to find sounds, film and edit your videos inside the Reels interface, adding text, basic transitions, and homework for making your very first Reel on the spot.

Well that's not a question- but we get you. Don't worry, there are many ways to create Reels that will resonate with your ideal client and attract the kinds of people you want to work with. No dancing required.

(Although, nobody said you had to be a GOOD dancer in order to go viral!)

Do Reels take forever to make?

Just like anything else worth learning, it's going to start off a little rocky. But once you figure out the quirks (with our help!) you'll become much faster at the process.

And the good news, depending on how want to look at it... is that often times the Reels that take forever to make are the ones that don't perform very well on Instagram. So, don't sweat having to put hours into creating Reels. We're all about efficiency and FUN here at Ampersand Studios, so that's the approach that we take with teaching reels too.

So whether you have 2 or 10 hours a week to dedicate to this, you'll be able to make something that doesn't make you want to pull out your hair.
